July 18, 2024 Newsletter
This week we welcome all for the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost, with worship at 8:00 a.m. (Rite I) and 10:00 a.m. (Rite II with music). Coffee Hour follows, and services continue to be offered both in-person and online.
This issue highlights important opportunities to stay connected and serve:
The Fall Marketplace Planning Meeting will take place on August 4 after the 10:00 service in Millen Hall. Volunteers are needed to help shape this beloved community tradition of crafts, baked goods, and fellowship.
The ongoing School Supply Drive continues in partnership with Second Story, seeking backpacks, notebooks, and classroom essentials for 1,400 children and teens in need. Donations are due by August 4.
An invitation to attend The Philadelphia Eleven screening at St. Thomas Episcopal on July 28, marking the 50th anniversary of the first women ordained in the Episcopal Church.
Save the Date: October 4 will feature a Rise Against Hunger event at St. Francis, aiming to package 15,120 meals for schoolchildren around the world.
Weekly offerings include prayer groups, Bible study, social gatherings, and opportunities for fellowship and outreach that keep our parish life thriving.
Closing:
St. Francis continues to be a place of prayer, service, and celebration. Please join us in worship, in preparing for the Fall Marketplace, and in acts of outreach that reflect our shared faith.
