This week marks a milestone: the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost and Fr. Weston Mathews’ first Sunday presiding and preaching as Priest-in-Charge. Services will be held at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., with the 10:00 service livestreamed.

Announcements include:

  • Welcome Brunch: Celebrate Fr. Weston’s new ministry on September 8 after the 10:00 service.

  • Sandwiches for the Homeless: Join us on September 21 at 12:30 p.m. in Millen Hall to make meals for DC’s hungry, delivered by Salvation Army Grate Patrol.

  • Rise Against Hunger: On October 4, the parish will host a meal-packing event to prepare 15,120 meals for vulnerable communities worldwide.

  • Fall Marketplace: October 19 will feature a rummage sale, crafts, baked goods, and a basket auction. Donations and volunteer signups are encouraged.

Fr. Weston shares a personal message of excitement, gratitude, and commitment to mutual ministry as he begins this new chapter with the St. Francis community.
