This Sunday, February 16, St. Francis gathers for the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany with services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with choir. Coffee Hour follows each service, and the 10:00 service will be livestreamed.
Key updates include:
Black Tie Dinner & Auction: Tickets are nearly sold out for March 1, so parishioners are encouraged to purchase now. Sponsorships and auction items are still needed.
Creche Special Guest: The Creche Preschool welcomed Dr. Christine Stang for an engaging session on dental health. Children learned flossing through a fun demonstration and storytime.
Altar Guild Gathering: Join us February 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Narthex to learn more about this ministry of care and beauty in worship.
Ordination Service: On March 1 at St. George’s in Arlington, Joy Warburton (former St. Francis administrator) will be ordained to the diaconate alongside Kara Laughlin and Anne Kristine Rose.
Ezo Sunday: March 2 will celebrate St. Francis’ covenant with the Diocese of Ezo, with special guests from AFRECS and Virginia Theological Seminary.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper: All are invited March 4 at 6:00 p.m. in Millen Hall. Ash Wednesday services will follow on March 5 at 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m..
