Christ for Peace: Ezo Diocese Brings Healing, Unity, and Hope Amid Conflict
In October 2024, the Episcopal Diocese of Ezo hosted the second phase of the Christ for Peace Mission at St. Paul’s Cathedral, bringing together over 3,500 people to promote peace and reconciliation under the theme: “A Future Awaits Those Who Seek Peace” (Psalm 37:37).
The event included Bible study, ordinations, licensing of lay readers, confirmation of 35 candidates, blessing of 10 marriages, and the graduation of 23 health workers. Mothers’ Union members and youth groups shared music and messages of peace, while government and community leaders pledged to end violence.
The convention had remarkable impact—over 50 people renounced witchcraft, many reconciled with former adversaries, and leaders committed themselves as agents of peace. Despite ongoing violence in Tambura and surrounding areas, this gathering showed the power of faith to bring healing and hope.
