This week we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Easter on May 11 with services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., both with Fr. Weston Mathews preaching and presiding, and the choir at 10:00. Coffee Hour follows each service. Please note: livestream is unavailable this week due to YouTube technical issues.
Highlights include:
Contemplative Worship: May 11 at 5:00 p.m. with reflection by Vestry Register Cathryn Lee.
Community Forum: Date change — the open parish forum with Fr. Weston and the Vestry has been rescheduled to June 1.
Concert at St. Francis: Words&Music returns May 17 with Venus & Mars: Love & War, a free afternoon of music and fellowship.
Arts Fund: A new St. Francis Arts Fund has been established to support theater, music, and cultural events.
Samaritan Ministry Sunday: May 18 features guest preacher David Grove, Director of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington. This will also be Deacon Nancy Searby’s first Sunday serving at St. Francis.
Special Guests: Congratulations to the Rev. Joy Warburton on graduating from Virginia Theological Seminary and to incoming seminarian Sandra Loucks for completing her junior year.
Creche Happenings: Children enjoyed a visit from Charlie the Mini Pony, courtesy of Keeper’s Haven Animal Sanctuary.
