Inquirers’ Classes
Exploring the Anglican Way of Faith
At St. Francis, we offer Inquirers’ Classes once or twice each year, led by the Rev. Mathews. These sessions are open to anyone curious about the Episcopal Church, its Anglican heritage, or the Christian life more broadly. Together we’ll explore the story and tradition of our church, with time each week for your own questions and reflections. The series concludes with an Instructed Eucharist, where we walk step by step through the meaning and flow of our worship.
These classes are especially helpful for adults and teenagers preparing for Confirmation or who may wish to be received into the Episcopal Church. At the same time, they are also valuable for long-time members seeking a refresher and for newcomers discerning how faith connects with daily life.
Our main text is Walk In Love: Episcopal Beliefs & Practices by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe, a clear and engaging introduction to Anglican spirituality. Whether you are new to the Episcopal tradition or have been part of it for many years, we invite you to come, learn, and explore in community.
